Artist Statement: “This Spin Is Driving Me Crazy “ depicts the way the left and right media (depicted by the two hands on either side) try to “steer” our thinking. The blood-like stripes on the T-shirt reflect how this can tear us apart internally. The figure also represents not just an individual but also our whole nation. If we don’t take control of the steering, we could all crash.
